When it comes to business, you want the revenue you generate to benefit your business. Of course, you do. Unfortunately for us, Microsoft believes as such. In less than a month AltspaceVR will sunset which has disenfranchised many in the Virtual Reality world. Those who were making good money are now left with nothing and are scrambling to redefine themselves or preparing to say good bye on March 10th.
Failed to Render (FTR) Comedy Club, unlike other VR comedy outlets, didn’t build its business model around AltspaceVR. They’ve adapted and improvised utilizing VRChat and Horizon Worlds to continue making us laugh.
FTR and its founders, Kyle Render & Al Gonzales, have been featured in Forbes, Variety, The Washington Post, ARPost, VRScout among other media outlets and has no signs of slowing down. Recently partnering with Kenan Thompson’s Ultimate Comedy Experience is a huge step in the life of the company where as in the past talent had to run the gambit just to be discovered. Now, even those with mobility and other disabling issues they can be discovered in the comfort of their homes by charging up their VR Headset and logging in.
There are shows every Monday through Friday and kick off at 9pm Central. Wednesday, March 8th they’re featuring Alfred Robles who you might know from Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias’ Standup Revolution on Comedy Central.
